Vena’s Roti
1263 Bloor St. W.
Toronto, Ontario
Vena’s Restaurant started serving its unique East- and West-Indian-inspired cuisine on Queen St. W., at Palmerston Ave. in 1991.
The large neon sign in the window was moved from the original location to Bloor St. in 2003. Mentioned in countless local and provincial publications, reviewers would commonly agree with its message: “Best Roti in Town”. In agreement are loyal customers who discovered Vena’s in the 90’s and still love the restaurant’s unique rotis enough to return from far and away.
In 1998 Mashud Siddique held Vena’s first public charity event. For a day the restaurant simply gave free food to anyone in need. This tradition continues at Vena’s second location on Bloor St. To this day, Vena’s has given away thousands of free meals.
